Quality Improvement and Assurance Lead

Birmingham, Hybrid. Travel required in and around West Midlands

The Quality Improvement and Assurance Lead is a key member of the National Quality Team and will support the Quality Manager and work closely with the Head of Quality, Curriculum, Learner Delivery and Accreditation teams, alongside other Quality Improvement and Assurance Leads in the further development and leadership of its quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teams to collect quality data, across a range of KPI`s and to support in the completion of self-assessment reports.
  • Undertake quality audits and deep dives which will feed into quality improvement strategies.
  • Undertake (in person) lesson observations and learning walks and support delivery colleagues to build on pedagogical developments.
  • Support the Association Development Days (ADD) to provide professional staff development of colleagues across the Curriculum and Learner Delivery teams.
  • Working alongside the Accreditation team to support the IQA process in preparation for external quality reviews.

Key Deliverables and Performance Measures:

  • Work with a range of teams to embed quality processes and performance across the WEA.
  • Coordinate the collection of evidence through audits and deep dives to inform quality strategies and actions.
  • Undertake lesson observation, providing structured and developmental feedback, alongside support for educational staff to ensure teaching, learning and assessment strategies meet KPI`s, ensuring that the educational experience for students is of the highest quality.
  • Support Curriculum and Delivery teams in preparation for external quality reviews, awarding organisation audits and preparation for Ofsted.
  • Involvement in other projects and tasks related to quality and performance across the WEA, undertaking such duties as reasonably requested by your manager.

Requirements:

  • High level of integration of quality process resulting in positive outcomes for learners.
  • Clear analysis of performance that informs and develops quality directives.
  • Ensure that the educational experience for students is of the highest quality and that teachers continue to develop pedagogical approaches and engage with educational technology.
  • Ensure external quality reviews meet expectations and continue to ensure alignment to awarding organisations, Ofsted and other stakeholders' expectations.
  • Inform, influence and support wider projects, working collaboratively across the WEA as one collective team.
