Job Title: Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance and Improvement Lead to join our National Quality Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Manager and working closely with the Head of Quality, Curriculum, Learner Delivery and Accreditation teams to further develop and lead our quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Quality Manager in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures.
  2. Work with a range of teams to embed quality processes and performance across the WEA.
  3. Coordinate the collection of evidence through audits and deep dives to inform quality strategies and actions.
  4. Support Curriculum and Delivery teams in preparation for external quality reviews, awarding organisation audits and preparation for Ofsted.
  5. Develop and maintain high-level quality processes resulting in positive outcomes for learners.
  6. Ensure that the educational experience for students is of the highest quality and that teachers continue to develop pedagogical approaches and engage with educational technology.
  7. External quality reviews meet expectations and continue to ensure alignment to awarding organisations, Ofsted and other stakeholders' expectations.
  8. Inform, influence and support wider projects, working collaboratively across the WEA as one collective team.
Requirements:
  • Experience of quality assurance and improvement processes in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, support, mentor and coach teams and individuals in order that they can reach their potential and ensure continuous improvement of quality in line with the Association's aspirations for students.
  • Intellectual ability to analyse complex data and identify trends including current performance measures.
  • Experience of Ofsted and awarding organisation audits.
