Job Title: UK Customs and Trade Compliance Manager
Location: Remote
About the Role:
Pod Talent is excited to be supporting a leading global medical solutions company in recruiting for a UK Customs and Trade Compliance Manager. You'll be working with global peers and leaders, providing essential guidance and support on customs and trade compliance across key markets in the UK, Netherlands, and the US.
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence the trade compliance program within a company committed to improving lives through innovative medical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a standardized global trade compliance program, focusing on the UK and Europe.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, supporting the smooth and efficient movement of products globally.
- Manage and support the Inward Process Relief program, ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance.
- Conduct audits and manage the AEO certification process, analyzing and resolving compliance issues.
- Assign and review global Harmonised Tariff Codes (HTS) and manage SAP master data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, such as customs brokers and government agencies, to maintain high compliance standards.
Key Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in international trade compliance, with expertise in both import and export regulations.
- Strong knowledge of HTS classification, particularly in medical devices, within Europe and the US.
- Direct experience with Inward Processing Relief (IPR) is essential.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare (medical device) industry, or another highly regulated industry desirable but not required.
