Clinical Nurse Specialist for Paediatric Neurology

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Neurology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive follow-up and support to patients with neurology conditions, particularly those with epilepsy.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and provide an advisory and supportive service to patients under the Paediatric Neurology service, working with patients who have a known or suspected diagnosis of epilepsy.
- Provide education and information to children, young people, and their families regarding the management and treatment of complex seizures.
- Work collaboratively with the neurologist team to expand the tertiary neurology service offered at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
- Conduct holistic assessments and provide supervision and guidance to colleagues in skilled history taking, physical examination, observation, and ordering, conducting, and interpreting relevant tests and investigations.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of patients' assessments, care, and treatment.

Requirements- Registered Nurse (Child) with evidence of ongoing, continuing professional development within pediatric care linked to demonstrable clinical competences.
- Relevant Degree in nursing/midwifery or health-related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification, eg ENB998.
- Specialist qualification, eg British Paediatric Neurology Association Paediatric Epilepsy Training Level 1 & 2 (or willingness to work towards).
