Clinical Nurse Specialist for Paediatric Neurology

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Neurology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert care and guidance to patients with neurology conditions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive follow-up and support.
- Develop and provide an advisory and supportive service to patients under the Paediatric neurology service, focusing on patients with known or suspected diagnoses of epilepsy.
- Collaborate with the neurologist team to expand the tertiary neurology service offered at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, developing and implementing new pathways and protocols as needed.
- Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide education and information on the management and treatment of complex seizures, promoting patient empowerment and autonomy.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of patients' assessment, care, and treatment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with neurology conditions, with a strong understanding of the complexities of epilepsy and seizure management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals at all levels.
- Strong leadership and collaborative skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of new services and initiatives.
- Ability to maintain accurate and contemporaneous records, with a strong understanding of clinical coding and documentation.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education, with a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practice in the field of paediatric neurology.
