Clinical Nurse Specialist for Paediatric Neurology

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Paediatric Neurology. The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive follow-up and support to patients diagnosed with epilepsy.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and provide an advisory and supportive service to patients under the Paediatric neurology service.
- Provide education and information to children, young people and their families regarding the management and treatment of complex seizures.
- Work collaboratively with the neurologist team to expand the tertiary neurology service offered at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
- Conduct holistic assessments and provide supervision and guidance to colleagues in skilled history taking, physical examination, observation and ordering, conducting and interpreting relevant tests and investigations.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of patients' assessment, care and treatment.

Requirements- Registered Nurse (Child)
- Evidence of ongoing, continuing professional development within pediatric care linked to demonstrable clinical competences
- Relevant Degree in nursing/midwifery or health-related field
- Recognised teaching qualification, eg ENB998
- Specialist qualification, eg British Paediatric Neurology Association Paediatric Epilepsy Training Level 1 & 2 (or willingness to work towards)
