Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Guidance Counselor to join our team at Educators Wales. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young people and adults achieve their goals and make informed decisions about their careers.

About the Role

The Guidance Counselor will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, providing them with personalized guidance and support to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with clients from various age groups and socio-economic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one guidance and support to clients, helping them identify their strengths, interests, and career aspirations.
  • Deliver interactive group sessions and workshops to educate clients about various career options and employment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with local and national organizations, including training providers, job centers, and employers, to provide clients with access to resources and support.
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized plans to help them overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of Welsh education and labor market trends.

Location
