About the Role:
Orbis Education and Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at our West Cross Home. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our people, supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
- Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
- Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of our senior team.
- Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
- Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
Requirements:
- A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
- A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
