About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and extending the operations management of the Antennas Measurement Laboratory, with a focus on aspects related to the Electromagnetic Environment Hub (EME Hub). Key responsibilities include operations management of specific setups and equipment within the laboratory for both internal and external users, including EME Hub partners and Dstl. The postholder will also engage with training and support for internal and external users of the facilities, including academic and research staff, postgraduate students, and industrial users.
About You
Candidates must possess an Undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline. Relevant experience in conducting technical research support, understanding experimental processes, and approaches to conducting measurements in the Antennas, Electromagnetics, and Microwave field is essential. The ability to summarise findings and recommendations is also crucial. Knowledge of a wide range of radio frequencies, microwave, and antenna measurement techniques, as well as solid knowledge of instrument control applications and automated tests, is required.
