Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

BYD Europe is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and contractors working on various energy storage site locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and determine ways of reducing risks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by providing training and ongoing meetings to employees.
  • Undertake risk assessments and investigate incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health.
  • Report any RIDDOR to HSE when necessary.
  • Investigate health and safety issues raised by management or employees.
  • Review and update health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Produce reports for health and safety statistics and trends.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an H&S-related position within energy storage power.
  • Minimum 2 years of fire management and risk assessment experience.
  • A current full clean UK driving licence.
  • Basic IT skills (Word Processing, Outlook, Excel).
  • CSCS card required to work on-site.
