Job Overview

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to lead the delivery of health and safety services on a major infrastructure project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company complies with health and safety legislation and standards, and will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide health and safety training and inductions to all personnel, and ensure that all personnel are aware of their health and safety responsibilities.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain a construction phase health and safety plan, and ensure that it is regularly updated.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to ensure that health and safety standards are met, and that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Participate in tender submissions and pre-qualification questionnaires, and provide health and safety input as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager on a major infrastructure project.
  • Degree or equivalent in Environment Management, Sciences, Sustainability, or completion of IEMA Foundation Certificate.
  • NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NVQ L3 in Health and Safety.
