About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Foster Care Specialist to join our team at FCA.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to work with foster families, ensuring they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in care. The ideal candidate will have a Social Work qualification, professional registration with Social Work England, and extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions with foster parents to monitor their suitability and competence
  • Ensure compliance with key documentation and policies
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to identify needs and provide support
  • Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and their local community
Requirements
  • Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to travel extensively and transport children safely
  • Full driving licence
