Empower Family Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Somerset, covering the Southwest Area. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting Foster Carers to provide high-quality care to children and young people. Your responsibilities will include recruiting, assessing, and monitoring the suitability of Foster Carers, providing regular supervision, and contributing to Foster Carer Annual Reviews. You will also be responsible for identifying learning and development needs, undertaking initial visits and carer assessments, and attending meetings to support Foster Carers, children, and young people. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a CQSW, Diploma in Social Work, or BA in Social Work, as well as experience of working with children and families. You will also need to have a knowledge of legislation relevant to children and families, be able to work under pressure, and demonstrate initiative and self-reliance. In return, we offer a competitive salary of up to £39,000 per annum, 28 days annual leave, and a range of benefits including an on-call allowance and a Blue Light Discount Card.
