Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Employment Solutions invites experienced mechanical design engineers to join our dynamic team in the Nuclear industry.

Location and Work Arrangements:

This role is based in Chorley, offering a hybrid working pattern with 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, and 9.5 hours per day.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between £78,000 and £120,000 depending on experience. You'll also receive a competitive hourly rate of £38-£60 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead the development of innovative designs for major projects, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Your responsibilities will include developing design concepts, evaluating them against standards, leading a team of design engineers, and managing project schedules and budgets.

  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Evaluate designs against British and European standards and client expectations.
  • Lead a team of design engineers or work independently as needed.
  • Produce design justification reports addressing technical risks and safety concerns.
