The estimated annual salary for this position is between £78,000 and £120,000 depending on experience. In addition, you'll receive a competitive hourly rate of £38-£60 per hour.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for creating equipment designs, either independently or by leading a small group of mechanical design engineers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure designs adhere to relevant standards and meet project goals in terms of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop design concepts, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation.
  • Evaluate designs against British and European standards and client requirements.
  • Lead a small team of design engineers or work independently as required.
  • Produce design justification reports addressing technical risks and safety concerns.
  • Manage designs within the constraints of project schedules and budgets.
