Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the First Chef in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage the kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
  • Supervise and support the kitchen team, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents, ensuring that all meals are nutritious and appealing.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new menu ideas and culinary concepts, ensuring that all dishes are innovative and appealing.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
