About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Culinary Support Assistant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure a high-quality catering experience for our clients.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas, adhering to all relevant legislation, policies, and guidance.
  • Assist in the monitoring, setting up, and replenishing of food service counters as required.
  • Support the security of stores and assist with deliveries and associated paperwork.
  • Respond appropriately to comments and complaints, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Be prepared to assist at Deafway catered events, which may sometimes be outside of normal working hours.
  • Assist in the preparation and placement of food orders, maintaining stock levels as required.
  • Report and take action on any incidents, fire, loss, theft, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities.
  • Follow environmental health, food hygiene, and health and safety regulations, completing necessary inspections and checks.
  • Ensure the kitchen and restaurant cleaning schedules are adhered to and assist in task completion.
  • Complete required training for personal and professional development, as well as training related to the maintenance and development of standards within the catering department.
  • Carry out end-of-shift locking-up procedures, ensuring the security of buildings when necessary.
