**Job Description:** Building Services Professional

 

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a skilled Building Services Professional to work on social housing projects in the Ely, Cambridgeshire area.

 

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance work on social housing properties
  • Working independently and as part of a team when required
  • Responding to call-outs on a rota basis
  • Maintaining tools and equipment to a high standard
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works to customers

 

**Responsibilities Include:**

 

  1. Perform tasks such as fault fixing, construction, and maintenance
  2. Work on both void and tenanted properties
  3. Assist in maintaining tools and equipment
  4. Provide regular updates to customers
  5. Follow health and safety protocols

 

**Requirements:**

 

  • NVQ Level 2 qualified in a core subject (carpentry/plumbing/electrical) NVQ Level 3 if plumbing is the qualification
  • Aware of health and safety regulations
  • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, and decorating
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Full UK driver's license

 

**Benefits Package:**

 

  • Salary of £33,000 per annum, rising after 12 months subject to performance

This role will pay around £35-40k per year in the Ely area, based on current market rates.
