Our client is a leading international business with a strong brand presence. They are expanding their financial accounting function, and this role will play a key part in supporting the business.
Job Description
As Financial Control Manager, you will be a key member of the financial accounting team, responsible for balance sheet reconciliations. You will have a strong understanding of treasury and tax to provide additional support to the team.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations project on new software.
- Develop insightful commentary and identify risks and opportunities within the balance sheet for board reporting.
- Improve the control environment by refreshing supporting documentation, working with the group internal audit function, and leading on internal engagement.
- Become a key user and administrator of financial reporting and accounting IT systems and controls.
- Liaise with the tax manager to provide coverage and support, including indirect tax submissions.
The Successful Candidate
The successful Financial Control Manager should have:
- A formal accountancy qualification, likely ACA or ACCA.
- The ability to develop and improve finance systems.
