Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our growing Accounts department. This role will involve managing the accounts receivable ledger, communicating with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices, and preparing regular reports on outstanding debts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of payments
  2. Communicate with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices (Note: Email addresses have been removed)
  3. Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management
  4. Monitor credit limits and maintain accurate records
  5. Generate monthly customer statements and reconcile customer accounts
  6. Organise and lead monthly meetings with clients to resolve overdue balances
  7. Build strong relationships with clients to act as the dedicated Accounts contact
  8. Post daily banking receipts and perform data entry tasks efficiently
  9. Escalate problematic debt and initiate legal proceedings when necessary
  10. Assess and credit check new and existing customers to ensure financial stability
  11. Enter and upload invoices on multiple client portals and resolve any disputes or rejections

Requirements

  • Proven experience in credit control and financial management
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling effective assessment of financial information
  • Good telephone manner and confident communication with clients
  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive client relationships

Work Environment

This is an office-based position with standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm. We offer a range of benefits, including:

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
