Our client, a leading international business with a strong brand name and market presence, is expanding its accountancy and financial reporting function. This key role will support the business's growth by providing high-quality financial control.
Job Description
The Financial Control Manager will be a crucial member of the financial accounting team, responsible for managing balance sheet reconciliations on new software. They will require a deep understanding of treasury and tax to provide valuable support to the wider team.
- Develop and maintain balance sheet reconciliations project using advanced software tools.
- Create insightful commentary and identify potential risks and opportunities within the balance sheet for board-level reporting.
- Improve the control environment through refined supporting documentation, collaboration with the group internal audit function, and leadership in internal engagement with head office support.
- Become a proficient user and administrator of all financial reporting and accounting IT systems and controls.
- Work closely with the tax manager to ensure coverage and support, including indirect tax submissions management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a Financial Control Manager, you should possess:
- A professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA or ACCA.
- Ability to develop and enhance finance systems.
