About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Admiral Money. The ideal candidate will have advanced financial modelling skills, experience building and evaluating scorecards, and a proven track record of analysing complex data sets.

The role involves taking the lead on credit risk and pricing analytics for our motor lending product. You will be responsible for designing and developing effective decisioning rulesets and policies, monitoring the risk/reward profile of the portfolio, and refining the affordability process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop effective decisioning rulesets and policies to optimise portfolio performance.
  • Monitor the risk/reward profile of the portfolio and propose changes to acquisition strategies as needed.
  • Segment the portfolio by suitable risk-related variables to identify emerging trends and concentrations.
  • Refine the affordability process, including improving the net disposable income model.

Requirements:

  • Advanced financial modelling skills and experience building and evaluating scorecards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build comprehensive reports to segment and analyse portfolio performance.
  • Experience extracting, manipulating, and reviewing data using SQL.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Sci-Kit Learn, NumPy) or other relevant programming languages/software for data analysis and modelling.
  • Prior experience in consumer credit risk, particularly in motor lending.
  • High quality written work and strong communication skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working hours and a generous pension scheme.
