About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Head of Credit Cards to lead a cross-functional team of experts in launching and operating multiple high Return on Equity (RoE) credit card programs in the UK market.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the credit card industry, including product definition, marketing, underwriting, portfolio management, operations, customer support, collections, and financial modeling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, launching, and optimizing the full Program Management lifecycle of a Credit Card, including:
- Product Definition: Crafting products that meet customer needs and achieve high adoption and Return on Assets (RoA) goals.
- Marketing: Developing and executing effective digital and non-digital acquisition strategies for near-prime and prime credit cards.
- Underwriting: Building, monitoring, and updating sophisticated credit risk and underwriting models and rules leveraging bureau data, alternative data, and portfolio data.
- Portfolio Management: Monitoring and growing the performance and size of large credit card portfolios.
- Operations: Defining and running manual and automation processes to optimize operations, including fraud operations, dispute operations, production operations, application processing operations, account operations, and settlement operations.
- Customer Support: Running contact centers that deliver world-class customer satisfaction.
- Collections: Defining sophisticated contact and collections strategies that are both compliant and efficient, leveraging best-in-breed tools.
- Financial Modeling: Building sophisticated, multi-year, credit card financial models with granular assumptions of relevant vintage curves.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, an engineering approach to problem-solving, and a deep understanding of risk and regulations.
They will also have hands-on experience in building and leading high-performing teams, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
