Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Perioperative Care Specialist in the Maternity Theatres at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-focused care in a busy, progressive, and varied department.

The ideal candidate will have theatre scrub experience and be able to deliver effective care within Scrub and Post Anaesthetic care disciplines, in line with scope of practice and departmental need. You will support the Theatre Leadership Team to ensure standards of practice and care quality are upheld, acting as a role model, supporting the learning of others, and contributing to the development and implementation of improvement ideas.

The salary for this role is approximately £32,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a professional, flexible, and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Main Duties:
  • Assessment of patient needs and development of programs of care
  • Implementation and evaluation of care programs
  • Providing skilled assistance within the Operating Department environment
  • Acting as a role model to students and colleagues
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Theatre scrub experience
  • Care experience
  • Experience working within an acute hospital
  • GCSE (English and Maths), grade C or higher
  • NVQ level 3 in health or social care
