Anesthetics Consultant

A leading role for a highly skilled Anaesthetics Consultant has become available at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, with a special focus on Upper GI services.

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team, providing comprehensive anaesthetic services to patients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all aspects of general anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, as well as leadership skills to drive quality improvement initiatives within the department.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for leading clinical governance and quality improvement activities, developing strategic plans to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• They will work closely with other consultant anaesthetists to ensure a high-quality service is delivered across various specialties, including orthopaedics, trauma, CEPOD, and regional anaesthesia.

In addition to their clinical expertise, the appointed candidate will be expected to participate in teaching, training, and supervision of anaesthetic postgraduate doctors in training (PGDiTs) and medical students from Keele Medical School.
