About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI technical expert to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will play a crucial role in influencing change through data-driven decisions, utilizing engaging storytelling to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence change through data-driven decisions, utilizing engaging storytelling
  • Be part of a team that devises, designs, and implements visualizations and modeling of data
  • Liaise with engineers to ensure we collect the right data to produce relevant business insights
  • Work across functions to identify opportunities and implement the best solutions
  • Be accountable for the development of solutions to time and quality standards against the requirements of the business

Requirements

  • Extensive in-depth Power BI knowledge
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions to all audiences
  • Knowledge of creating reporting, dashboarding, and models in Power BI, connecting to a range of data sources
  • Experience handling structured and unstructured data and building data models
  • Experience in data science technologies and ways of working
  • Working with cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with basic principles of databases
  • Ability to design, implement, and deliver maintainable high-quality code
  • Proficiency with analytical tools like R/Python and familiarity with SQL
