Financial Reporting Accountant

Hastings Direct is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting operations team, you will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements for the Group's UK subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for the Group's UK subsidiaries
  • Ensuring the completeness of financial reporting disclosures
  • Providing IFRS technical accounting advice to the accounting operations team, senior management, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting technical accounting projects, including consultation with other teams throughout the Group and preparation of technical accounting memos and discussion papers

Requirements

  • Solid experience within technical accounting/accounting policy development team/financial reporting team of a UK publicly listed company or Big Four newly qualified accountant
  • Background in Technical accounting, strong working knowledge of IFRS 9, (ECL, Hedge Accounting and Securitisation) and Group reporting
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and (IFRS 17 experience is an advantage)
