Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide 2:1 support for our 15-year-old son who has an autism diagnosis. The successful candidate will support him to gain independence in various activities, including walking, exploring nature, trains, coffee shops, and Lego.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2:1 support for our son in daily activities
- Assist in developing independence skills
- Support in accessing community resources and activities
- Communicate effectively with our son and our family
Requirements
- Reliable and trustworthy individual
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driving license preferred
Working Hours
5 hours per week per PA, with flexibility to work weekdays after 3:30pm or weekends. Additional hours during school holidays.
Pay and Benefits
£12.40 per hour, with a full induction and training provided. Enhanced DBS check through Leeds City Council prior to starting in the role.
