About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and care to an 8-year-old child with autism in both home and community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Accompanying the child on outings with their mother, promoting social skills and independence.
  • Providing reassurance and support in busy places, helping the child feel comfortable and confident.
  • Assisting with personal care, ensuring the child's physical needs are met.
  • Engaging in activities such as trampolining, swimming, and playing with toys, promoting cognitive development and enjoyment.
Requirements

Experience working with children and young people with autism is essential, although training will be provided. The ideal candidate should be patient, understanding, and able to communicate effectively with the child.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. A DBS check and two references will be required. Additionally, 5.6 weeks of holiday entitlement per year will be provided, along with flexible availability predominantly on weekends with weekdays during holidays.
