Protection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Protection Specialist to join our team at ABM UK.
As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading provider of facility services in the UK.
Job OverviewThis permanent position offers a competitive salary of £12.50 per hour. You will be working a 42-hour week, with a shift pattern that includes 2 days and 2 nights, followed by 4 days off.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Security Officer or similar role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol assigned areas to maintain a visible presence and deter illegal activities
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms for suspicious activities
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or security incidents
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all access points are secure
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
- Interact with visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner
- Write accurate reports detailing all observations and incidents
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with security equipment
- Must possess a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
