Role Summary


We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to support a 6-year-old boy with autism in accessing the local community, activities, and everyday life.


About Lucas


Lucas is a lively and inquisitive young boy who loves to go trampolining, soft play, and exploring local parks and adventure playgrounds. He requires supervision at all times due to his strong will and lack of awareness of danger.


Your Responsibilities


As Lucas's personal assistant, you will be responsible for providing emotional support, accompaniment, and physical care during outings and daily activities. This includes using a buggy for most excursions and having a good level of fitness to keep up with Lucas's energetic nature.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must have experience working with children with autism and challenging behaviors. You should be resilient, patient, and able to think creatively to meet Lucas's needs.


Benefits


This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on Lucas's life while gaining valuable experience in supporting individuals with autism. A car driver would be preferred but is not essential.


Salary and Location


The estimated salary for this role is around £12.40 per hour. The position is based in Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, with opportunities to access various community resources and activities in the area.
