Job Description

The role of the Field Care Supervisor is to support the delivery of high-quality care services by carrying out a range of functions in the field, including assessment and review of individual services and practical supervision of care workers.

Working with Care Coordinators to plan realistic and effective care worker rotas, with due regard for individual needs and worker skills. Regular reviews of individual services, including repeated and renewed needs and risk assessments. Participate in multi-disciplinary review of service users' needs. Shadow new care workers to ensure competence. On-site observation and evaluation of care worker practice as part of routine supervision.

Field Care Supervisors spend most of their time in the community carrying out primary functions, with some office-based administrative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and instruct care workers
  • Plan care worker rotas
  • Conduct regular reviews of individual services
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary review of service users' needs
  • Shadow new care workers
  • Observe and evaluate care worker practice
Requirements

You would need experience in carrying out initial risk and needs assessments, working in partnership with service users, their family, carers, advocates, healthcare professionals, and others to ensure seamless delivery of holistic packages of individual care support.
