Blandford Forum, Dorset, United Kingdom Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Blandford Community Mental Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide care delivery that considers people's safety, privacy, and dignity. Your role will involve providing interventions, assessments, and treatments, managing patients on a caseload, and planning, implementing, and reviewing health improvement programmes in a range of settings.

The Community Mental Health Practitioner role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, based in Blandford and covering the surrounding villages. You will need to have a valid driving licence and use of a car as you will be required to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings.

You will be supported in your clinical work and professional development by an experienced Mental Health Nurse, with ongoing close and supportive supervision from the Team Leader together with an agreed programme of training and development.

Having experience working in a community mental health environment would be useful, but not essential; you will need to be able to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery within your work with service users.
