The Clinical Lead role at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is a part-time, 12-month fixed-term position that requires significant clinical leadership experience and skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Mental Health team using a multidisciplinary team approach to improve health and educational outcomes for children and reduce physical and emotional harm in families.

This role will involve fostering excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across North Dorset and PED, as well as working alongside the existing SFT Clinical Lead in Dorchester and Weymouth. The Clinical Lead will line manage two other team members and hold a reduced caseload.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a Mental Health profession or a relevant equivalent qualification, as well as experience in leading a service and making decisions in a complex work environment. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work with local partners in health and social care to develop new services.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the national IAPT service and its link to governmental objectives, as well as a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and its impact on mental health and benefits systems.

They will also have experience in using evidence-based psychological therapies and a good record of Continuing Professional Development. The Clinical Lead will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and have a valid DBS certificate.
