Job Summary

eTeam is seeking a highly skilled PVU Licence Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our software asset management (SAM) team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with IBM software licence agreements.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite in Knutsford. The initial contract duration is 6 months. You must be paid through an umbrella company as this contract falls inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain ILMT data accuracy on an ongoing basis
  • Extract ILMT Computers reports and operational servers using Service Now
  • Identify and remove ceased and AWS servers
  • Reclassify instances if misreporting occurs due to incorrect component-to-product mappings
  • Perform manual exclusions for cold DR and bundled products
  • Extract regular ILMT reports and audit snapshots to assess current compliance position
  • Support IASP audits for clients, providing twice-yearly audit reporting to IBM
  • Extract and provide data/reports as required by clients
  • Generate ILMT audit snapshots, hardware reports, computers reports, and dashboard snapshots
  • Extract all current operational servers using Service Now
  • Obtain VM host/cluster data from the Compute team
  • Conduct regular calls with clients to discuss progress against actions/data requirements
  • Engage with SMEs/Product Owners to provide data/evidence requested by clients for non-PVU based products (including mainframe)
  • Review mainframe 'consumption' figures in agreement with the Mainframe Team
  • Request additional software data from the SAM Governance Team for computers not in ILMT
  • FOLLOW up to provide additional data/evidence following review by the client
  • Validate/FOLLOW up discrepancies identified by the client
  • Action manual ILMT updates following audits
  • Perform informal internal PVU licence true-ups for early detection/remediation of any risk issues
  • Evaluate the risk impact of ineligible technologies

Other Responsibilities

Analyse ILMT computers with issue reports to identify/address issues with GTSM Tooling Team/Platform Team/AppTeams. Track monthly SCRT reports to ensure entitlement.

Estimated Salary Range: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
