About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our HR function. This newly created role offers a fantastic opportunity to drive forward our organisational development and ensure a professional, proactive, and efficient service is provided to all employees.

This role involves managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing complex employee relations case management, dispute resolutions, investigations, grievances, capability, disciplinaries, redundancies, attendance, and TUPE transfers.
  2. Advising managers on employment terms and conditions.
  3. Managing occupational health referrals and reviews, return-to-work meetings.
  4. Managing the HR Administrator, providing guidance and direction on work priorities.
  5. Handling HR matters for inspections and compliance.
  6. Overseeing recruitment and selection processes, ensuring seamless onboarding and off-boarding experiences.
  7. Developing and implementing performance review programmes for employees.
  8. Cultivating coaching, mentoring, and support relationships with colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs.
  9. Maintaining employee training requirements and developing effective training and development plans.
About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
  • Prior experience in generalist management or HR management, with considerable autonomy.
  • A working knowledge of employment regulations.
  • An understanding of data protection, Equality Act, and health and safety.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR practices.
  • A confident leader with experience leading a team.
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships, drive collaboration.
  • The ability to accept and provide feedback, challenge advice, work under pressure.
  • The ability to think innovatively, rationally, come up with creative solutions.
  • Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft packages and Google suite.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, Monday to Friday office-based working, on-site parking, and a free lunch allowance.
