About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Immunology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to children with primary immunodeficiency.

As an Immunology Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing autonomous expert clinical care, leadership, and organizational skills to manage a caseload of patients with primary immunodeficiency. You will work closely with the medical and multi-professional teams to treat and support children undergoing complex treatments like bone marrow transplantations, gene therapy, and thymus transplants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing support for a cohort of patients with primary immunodeficiency, including those receiving immunoglobulin replacement at home or in local hospitals.
  • Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team within the Immunology specialty, providing cross-cover to other Immunology Clinical Nurses Specialists.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, audit, and research to improve care outcomes.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse (appropriate to clinical speciality).
  • Relevant nursing qualification and experience at a senior level in a relevant paediatric healthcare environment.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal, leadership negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Able to demonstrate critical thinking, high-level decision making, and problem-solving in clinical practice.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a generous pension scheme, annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
