Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Tudor Employment Agency is seeking a skilled Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential setting. With a focus on promoting independence and positive outcomes, this role involves working closely with a team to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £23,000-£24,000, plus sleep ins paid at an additional £60 per night. As a Residential Support Worker, you will also have opportunities for mileage reimbursement and a competitive benefits package, including a voucher scheme for bank holiday and festive period working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children and young people to develop life skills and achieve their goals, working closely with the team to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes well-being.
  • Engage in direct practical interactions, including play, activities, cooking, personal care, community engagement, and supporting educational and health needs.
  • Contribute to general house duties and maintenance, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment that promotes positive relationships.
  • Complete health and safety checks to maintain a secure and healthy setting, adhering to relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Budget and manage resources effectively to ensure efficient use of resources, promoting cost-effectiveness and value for money.
  • Keywork with individuals, advocating for their needs and promoting their rights, working closely with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Manage behaviour and ensure high standards are met, adhering to OFSTED inspection framework requirements, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Care Standards.
  • Develop and implement care plans, adhering to individual risk assessments and promoting positive outcomes, working closely with the team to ensure seamless delivery.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in children's care home roles is essential, with a strong understanding of residential care principles and relevant legislation.
  • Fully qualified driver with a valid UK manual driving licence, with opportunities for mileage reimbursement.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, such as OFSTED and Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People's Workforce), or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Ability to work shifts, including overnight sleeps, and be flexible with your schedule, working closely with the team to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
