Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our acute inpatient clinical team in Stockport. The successful candidate will work on Norbury ward, providing assessments and care for females aged between 18-65 with acute mental health needs who require a period of hospital admission.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as a Deputy Ward Manager, possessing excellent communication skills, a willingness to take on challenges, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the care provided to adults, including evolving models of care and modernization of mental health services.

Job Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for assessing needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of care for clients admitted to the ward. They will supervise junior staff, ensuring the highest possible standard of nursing care in accordance with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures, the Mental Health Act, and all other relevant legislation. The post holder will also deputize for the ward manager in their absence and provide supervision and IPDR to junior staff.
Key Requirements of the Person Specification
The successful candidate will have first-level registration as an RMN/RNMH, experience working in a mental health setting, and the ability to work across the 24-hour shift pattern on a rotational basis.
