Airport Sous Chef Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at Lounge. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to take on a leadership role and progress their career in hospitality.
**Salary:** Up to £14.00 per hour, with bonus and overtime pay
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, including managing staff, planning menus, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. They will also be responsible for recruiting and training new team members and implementing effective rotas and scheduling systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience working with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills. Additionally, they will have knowledge of best practice around sales and labour forecasts, and be able to deliver training and recruitment programs effectively. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for personal development and career progression. You will receive guaranteed 40 or 48 hours per week, annual bonus scheme of up to £2,000 per annum, overtime pay, staff food on every shift, 50% staff discount, paid breaks, and 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) pro rata. About the Job:
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills. As an Airport Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely. You will work closely with our head chef to plan menus, manage stock levels, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. You will also be responsible for recruiting and training new team members, and implementing effective rotas and scheduling systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience working with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills. You will also need knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, and be able to deliver training and recruitment programs effectively. Additionally, you will need to be able to work well under pressure, think on your feet, and make quick decisions when necessary.
