Sous Chef Position at Lounge

Lounge is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for personal development and career progression. We offer a competitive salary of up to £14.00 per hour, plus bonus and overtime pay.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, planning menus, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. They will also be responsible for recruiting and training new team members and implementing effective rotas and scheduling systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience working with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills. Additionally, they will have knowledge of best practice around sales and labour forecasts, and be able to deliver training and recruitment programs effectively.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely. Job Description:

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience working with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills. You will also need knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, and be able to deliver training and recruitment programs effectively. Additionally, you will need to be able to work well under pressure, think on your feet, and make quick decisions when necessary.
