Senior Project Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Perpetual Engineering.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering defence infrastructure projects, working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and delivering defence infrastructure projects
  2. Developing project objectives and agreeing ways of working with the project team
  3. Managing NEC 3/4 contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and managing change control
  4. Monitoring progress against the project schedule, managing resources, and identifying variances
  5. Preparing reports for stakeholders and managing financial performance throughout the project
  6. Responsibility for risk management, developing mitigation plans, and managing quality assurance processes
  7. Establishing and maintaining governance structures, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities
  8. Developing and disseminating a stakeholder management and communications plan
  9. Establishing and managing review points to inform governance and provide evaluations of progress
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Experience working on defence infrastructure projects, preferably with PMQ accreditation
  2. NEC 3/4 accreditation, preferably with SC clearance
  3. Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach
  4. Proven ability to deliver to deadlines, identify and develop a phased approach to delivery, and form effective relationships
  5. Good practical application of Microsoft software, including Project, Excel, and Word
  6. Ability to prepare and implement a range of project tools, including programmes, risk registers, stakeholder management plans, and quality assurance plans
