About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker Specialist to join our team at Riverside. As a Support Worker Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding service to our customers, providing practical and emotional support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver a comprehensive support service, including risk management and caseload management.
  • Build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders, including local services and organizations.
  • Develop and deliver a 'group-based activities' program for our customers.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues, including coaching, upskilling, and mentoring.
  • Support customers in developing new ways of thinking and taking steps towards independence, utilizing asset-based approaches and Trauma Informed Care principles.
Requirements
  • Recent experience of support work, risk management, and managing caseloads, with a focus on working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups.
  • Experience of working in challenging environments, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults, utilizing specialist knowledge and approaches.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a caring, empathic, supportive, flexible, and resilient attitude.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to make decisions confidently and consistently.
  • Competent IT skills, including using databases, producing reports, and analyzing key outcomes data.
