About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team at C&C Group plc. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of Area Sales Managers to achieve budgeted GP and Distribution targets.

You will work closely with Key Account Directors, CPM, and RSM peers to deliver a robust regional plan, including individual business plans and objectives for Key Existing and Prospect Customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing a Personal Development Plan for each direct report, linked to RBU and Company Succession Plans
  • Networking within the RBUs, key customers, and prospects to raise the profile of MC
  • Developing and implementing a successful prospecting plan, liaising with the Key Account Director
  • Ensuring, through direct reports, the effective implementation of the RBU plan to deliver the RBU growth strategy and ensure its communication and implementation
  • Working in partnership with key suppliers to ensure growth strategy and objectives are delivered
  • Maintaining effective communication between Depot functions
  • Liaising with KAM's to ensure effective coverage of Consortia accounts in line with Consortia Plans and Objectives
  • Maintaining and authorising, where necessary, a profitable Investment strategy in respect of Pricing, Capital Equipment, Contracted Retrospective Discounts, Listing Fees, etc. to all accounts
  • Managing customer Credit Terms and Debt in line with Company expectations
  • Selecting, developing, and sustaining a highly motivated and coordinated independent team, where standards of performance, clarity of objectives, and measurement criteria underpin both commercial and customer service requirements
  • Having a strong understanding of competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Being an ambassador for Company HR standards and ensuring that these are strongly embedded throughout the team
  • With the support of HR, ensuring that all formal disciplinary and capability procedures are adhered to
  • Having a robust reporting and monitoring system in place for absence and performance management, taking appropriate corrective action as and when required

About You

  • Previous people management experience
  • Significant Account Management experience, ideally from the On Trade
  • Strong customer negotiation skills
  • Experienced in managing supplier relationships
  • Experienced in selling Brands in the On Trade
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
  • Degree-level education or equivalent is desired, but not essential
  • WSET Level 3 is desired, but not essential
  • Full and clean driving licence
