Job Title: Lead Planner

We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join our UK Build Division in the South. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for supporting the management team with the planning and programming of design, procurement, and construction activities associated with our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain baseline contract programmes, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Lead the preparation of construction programmes, highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme and preparing tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement.
  • Maintain electronic files and administration of planning and programme documents, utilizing the common data environment (CDE).
  • Provide programme information as required to support the management team and use the construction programme to produce project prelim books, including staff resource, logistics, and temporary works requirements.
  • Develop 4D graphical models and 2D phasing plans to represent the sequence of build, phasing, and logistics, engaging with the supply chain to develop project programmes.
  • Review risk and opportunities for every programme produced, highlighting potential mitigation measures and including float and time risk allowances.
  • Develop tracking schedules to maintain information and control the production of programmes by subcontractors, keeping an as-built programme and highlighting deviations from the baseline programme.
  • Use 4D models and/or 2D phasing information to highlight current progress positions and produce validated output rates with clarifications to track live progress on projects.
Requirements:
  • Successful track record of working with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on live construction projects.
  • Experience working within a team and managing planning teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK and EU legal frameworks, particularly contract management.
  • Relevant degree or diploma, qualifications in construction management, and certification for use of planning and programme software.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and advanced training in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, and contract awareness.
