Job Overview:
">This is an exciting opportunity to learn many aspects of engineering applied to scientific instrumentation development, working on prototype and pre-production instruments, mechanical assembly, pneumatics, electronics, software, and low temperature refrigeration.
Your Key Responsibilities:
">- Manual assembly and electrical assembly of instruments
- Machine operation and testing
- Liaising and assisting with the Manufacturing Department as needed
- Designing, building and maintaining test rigs
Requirements:
">- You will have completed or are about to complete a relevant level 2 or 3 technical qualification (at merit or distinction) or A-levels
- Wish to continue your education on a part-time basis (day release)
- Have good analytical and numerical skills
- Have resilience, determination, good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 and above, including English language, and STEM subjects including mathematics
- You will be interested in technology, engineering and science
