Job Title: Consultant Clinical Oncologist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team of medical and clinical oncologists at the Kent Oncology Centre in Maidstone. As a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality cancer care to patients from East and West Kent.

The successful candidate will have a special interest in Head and Neck (H&N) oncology and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients with H&N cancers. You will be responsible for participating in governance meetings, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and cross-referral with other site specialists.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer services. You will have a strong commitment to teaching, training, and supervision, and will be able to take an active role in departmental audits and the implementation of change.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of clinical excellence, research, and education, and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing medical education. We encourage the inclusion of research in normal clinical work and are keen to support developing research activities for interested applicants.

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCR or equivalent (Entry on the Specialist Register as a clinical oncologist or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the advisory appointments committee)
  • Higher qualification in Medicine
  • Clinical Experience in relevant tumour sites
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality cancer care to patients from East and West Kent
