Job Overview
NHS is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our integrated primary care mental health team. This role involves working with individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression, providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality mental health support to prisoners.

About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have post-qualification experience in offering and delivering evidence-based IAPT low-intensity interventions. They will be able to assess and support individuals in managing their recovery, working closely with other professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. A strong understanding of stepped care services and recovery outcomes is essential.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Providing high-volume, low-intensity interventions for individuals with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
  • Working with a range of professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Developing and implementing therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and evaluating outcome measures.
  • Collaborating with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
  • A Post Grad Diploma in Psychological Therapies or equivalent qualification.
  • Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, or within a psychological therapy discipline.
  • Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and common mental health problems.
  • Post-qualification experience in delivering IAPT low-intensity interventions at Step 2.
  • Ability to work in partnership with other disciplines and maintain links with statutory and non-statutory agencies.

Salary Information
The salary for this role is approximately £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
