Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team at John Bean Technologies Corporation. As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will provide technical support to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our gas equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and repairs of gas equipment
  • Conduct on-site service calls and diagnose issues with equipment
  • Make repairs, adjustments, and replacements as necessary
  • Submit service and inspection reports after each call
  • Liaise with project managers and communicate with customers regarding equipment issues
  • Provide training to customer technical support staff on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Promote JBT services and OEM parts to ensure correct equipment operation and generate new sales
Requirements
  • Gas certification, including COCN1, CIGA1, and CDGA1
  • HND qualification or equivalent apprenticeship experience in a technical discipline
  • Experience maintaining factory production equipment and working knowledge of PLC systems
  • Desirable: experience with forced draft package burners and travel requirements
