About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN teaching assistant to join our dynamic team in Cheshunt. As an SEN specialist with expertise in managing challenging behaviours, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for students who require additional assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Develop and deliver individual learning plans in conjunction with the SENCO.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils to promote emotional and social well-being.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and challenges to inform tailored interventions.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledge of SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
